Kamehameha Day ~ Parade

On June 11th Hawaii celebrates the life of King Kamehameha, well-known and respected for uniting and establishing the Kingdom of Hawaii in 1810.

North Kohala is the proud birthplace of King Kamehameha I and honors him on this day with a full day of grassroots festivities in Kapa'au and Hawi.

Celebrations begin at the Kamehameha statue in Kapa'au, Hawaii at 8am, with a parade, hula performance, music, crafts, etc continuing until 4pm.
